History of the ECPC

It all started with the establishment of the CLA (Club Leaders Association of the Eastern Cape)

Club Leaders Association (CLA)

The CLA (Club Leaders Association of the Eastern Cape) was the brainchild of the late Jakkie (Richard Joubert – Midnight MCC). His aim was to get clubs organised on preventing double dates for events, accountability for incidents of bad behaviour and general Brotherhood. Over a time period of a few months, Jakkie and other bikers visited different clubs promoting the concept of the CLA. The first meeting was held at Brewmasters, the second at the Pig & Whistle in Bathurst where the Scorpions and East London Clubs  joined. This where the CLA started off. This was during the late 90’s.

Jakkie then handed the reigns over because he felt it was too much for him.

Gary Sim took over and after him it was Clint “Teach” Saddler.
